Lookout Mountain's Community Sports & Organizations
Lookout Mountain is a special community. This Chattanooga suburb, which is located in both Tennessee and Georgia, is home to just 2,000 residents. Community is everything to those who live here, and residents can get involved through a variety of community sports programs and local organizations. But organized sports are not all that Lookout Mountain has to offer.
Athletic Programs for Kids
The Lookout Mountain Rec Board hosts these community sports leagues geared for younger residents:
- Baseball (ages 5-12)
- Basketball (1st-6th grade)
- Football (4th-6th grade)
- Soccer (PreK-6th grade)
- Softball (ages 5-11)
- T-ball (ages 5-6)
- Wrestling (3rd-6th grade)
Fun Adventures for Adults
While the Town of Lookout Mountain, TN and the City of Lookout Mountain, GA don't host specific adult sports leagues, the two mountain communities have plenty of places to go rock climbing, caving, golfing, hang gliding, hiking, and biking. Here are the clubs you can join:

Spend Your Time Outdoors in Lookout Mountain
Residents of all ages can enjoy the trails, parks, and community groups that Lookout Mountain provides. Since this residential area is centered around the outdoors, there are more athletic activities than just organized sports, and every resident can enjoy them together.
Spend some time exploring the caves at Ruby Falls or enjoying the ropes course and zipline at Zip Stream Aerial Adventure. Get a taste of history and the outdoors on a guided tour at Point Park, part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. Don't forget to hike the trails at Rock City!
